Materials/Techniques: My design - which was started in a workshop at IQA - Houston last year with Noriko Endo and recently finished. It has free form cut silk applique and fiber on a painted silk background, covered with tulle, and free motion quilting. Silks, Colorhue dye painting, various fibers and trim, tulle.
Artist Statement: I wanted to work small in the class to create a quilt that I could use as an AAQI donation. It is a peaceful scene, which is what I wish every human could have in their lives.
Dedication: For my dad who had Alzheimer's and my family who were the "beholders". My friend Linda always said it is the disease of the beholders because it affects us so much.
This quilt has Fast Finish Triangles.
