Materials/Techniques: Batiks, hand-dyes , commercial cottons, fabric paints. The figure was backed with batting and then appliquéd to the background by machine. Quilting is by machine, original design.

Artist Statement: I pictured a straight-laced teacher, Helen, having a very groovy time on vacation.
