Width: 7.5" Length: 10.5"
Designer: From Martha Wolfersberger’s Cranberry Relish pattern published on the AAQI Update Blog, 2011. Used with written permission.
Materials/Techniques: 100% cotton fabric and batting, pieced, machine stitched and quilted.
Artist Statement: I tried really hard to follow Martha Wolfersberger's directions. She makes the loveliest little quilts. My sewing hat is off to her. I call my little quilt Wonky Relish because that is how it turned out. I struggled with those tiny pieces. I was going to throw it away, but then I thought about Ami's mom. She continued to make stencils to keep her passion going. It made me think. Would I stop sewing if it wasn't perfect? No, I would not stop until I could no longer use my sewing machine, hold scissors or needle in my hand. It is my therapy and my bliss.
Dedication: To my neighbor Jean Patela who has slipped swiftly into the arms of Alzheimer’s.
This quilt has Fast Finish Triangles.
