Materials/Techniques: Cotton, rayon, beads and metallic thread.

Artist Statement: Some friends and I went to perform at an assisted living home. It was clear that the wife of this one couple had Alzheimer's - the deep, dark and terrified eyes spoke miles about Alzheimer's. The husband told us, a little sadly, but with amazing love and care for his wife, "We have been married 72 years”. Thinking about what Alzheimer's does to people, I wanted to "release the dragon" to come and get rid of this horrible destroyer of human beings.

Dedication: I am dedicating this one to the dear lady and her husband. I don't know their names, but it really doesn't matter. I have "released the dragon”.
