Materials/Techniques: Cotton fabric, batting and thread; machine stitched, raw edge fusible appliqué.

Artist Statement: I lived far from my mother-in-law as she slipped further and further away from all she loved. I now picture her in the garden, between layers of beautiful soft colors.

Dedication: I dedicate this to my mother-in-law, Rosella Shattenberg.
