Artist Statement: My family has been hard hit by Alzheimer’s and it's my objective to continue stitching these little quilts until a cure has found for this devastating disease. The theme of coffee cups brought to mind the idea that caretakers need to be sure to take time for themselves and take a break as needed. Two of my loved ones are in facilities and I have nothing but respect for their care providers who tend to their ongoing needs on a daily, hourly basis. They are angels!
