Materials/Techniques: Batiks, hand-dyed fabric, commercial cottons, fusible appliqué and piecing, original design, quilted by machine.

Artist Statement: I was delighted to learn that a Basset Hound Rescue group likes to place the older dogs with older humans. I picture me and my basset hound (I'll name him Bogart) sitting on the porch, happily growing older together. They do warn of possible incontinence problems but that's OK. Bogart won't mind.
