Artist Statement: My very dear friend and neighbor, Toni, loved few things more than her backyard birds. She was devoted to feeding them and providing a scrupulously clean bird bath always full of fresh water. She maintained this backyard haven for her birds for over fifty years. As she faded into deeper dementia, one of her lasting joyful activities was to sit outside, observing her winged friends.
