Port Neches, TX USA
Width: 9" Length: 9.25"
Designer: Modified design in Tom Russell workshop
Materials/Techniques: Cottons, cotton thread, 80/20 cotton/poly batting. Machine appliqué of flower layer shapes with black thread buttonhole stitch.
Artist Statement: When I saw the design for the workshop, I asked if I could scale it down so that it would be suitable to send to AAQI as a Priority Quilt. It was a fun class and a nice technique to learn with a great teacher. My hope is that all the funds raised make a huge difference for today’s and tomorrow’s victims of this disease.
