Width: 8.5" Length: 9.75"
Materials/Techniques: Cotton, rayon and polyester decorative fabrics. Bird cut out and fused and stitched down. Center framed and bordered with pre-pleated fabric. Cotton batting used and backing is linen.
Artist Statement: I centered motif fabric and fussy cut the first border, then inset a small flange and used pre-pleated fabric for the last border. The bird figure was fused and stitched down to the center motif. I then straight stitched along edge of borders for quilting to hold the layers together. I made this quilt for quilt of the month and help to raise money to fight this awful disease. I know this won't raise tons of money but I figure each donation helps no matter how small.
Dedication: In memory of my mother who suffered with Alzheimer’s for many years.
This quilt has a Picture Hook.
This quilt earned $45 for the AAQI.
