Materials/Techniques: Hand dyed cottons, couching thread, machine appliqué, bobbin work, silk screening, dimensional appliqué, machine quilting.

Artist Statement: I love hats and color and thought this was appropriate for the title I had in mind. I fused the appliqués down on Hand dyed background fabric. I added further interest by silk screening "weeds" along the bottom. I machine appliquéd everything down, flipped it over and using the machine stitching as a guide, did bobbin work along the edges and trim on the hat. The leaves were done using a dimensional appliqué technique.
