Materials/Techniques: Several techniques have been used in this quilt, piecing, piecing with foundations, freehand cutting and raw edge appliqué. The border is from a piece of striped fabric.

Artist Statement: Oklahoma is noted for its storms, and maybe this is one of them that has stirred up the red dirt and disturbed the birds and plants. The dark, angry sky is already starting to clear and the storm is trying to tell us it has been spectacular.
