Materials/Techniques: Cotton fabrics arranged as a faux stained glass picture using satin stitch as both quilting and as part of the design.

Artist Statement: This plant suddenly showed up with a surprise flower since it started with only leaves, but then I remembered that we once had a plant in a lightweight plastic pot that threw up a long stem with leaves. Not knowing what the plant was going to do, I set it near a window for light, and one night, it bloomed, made itself top heavy and fell to its end on the floor. I hope this one survives.
