Width: 8.5" Length: 11.5"
Materials/Techniques: Silk, satin, printed cotton, miniature ethnic quilt piece, beading, gold thread embroidery, layering of silk over the under lining.
Artist Statement: I love the word and symbol, Qi, the Chinese term for Wellness. I had some fabric with circles, and the circles inspired me to create a quilt that was purple for healing, and symbolic in many ways of healing.

Dedication: My mother did not have Alzheimer's quite before she died, but she had pretty severe dementia, which may be related. It was very difficult to deal with her; one minute she would seem rational and the next minute, she was terrifying. It was just heartbreaking for me, for I never saw her or got to say goodbye so she really knew me or my brother for who we are.
This quilt has Fast Finish Triangles.
