Materials/Techniques: Cotton and wool fabric, trimmed with star brads, sequins and acrylic paint, machine appliquéd leaves with hand applied embellishments and a little acrylic paint. The quilt is finished with a little free motion stitching detail then quilted by machine.
Artist Statement: I am always looking for ways to contribute to the Alzheimer’s cause. My mother was the first to have Alzheimer’s in our family, then my older brother died last year from starvation as a result of Alzheimer's and now my sister is also suffering from this mind sucking disease. I want to see a cure so my children don't have to go through this horrible disease.
