Materials/Techniques: Free pieced strips of batiks make up the top layer. White cotton quilting fabric makes up the base. Machine quilted.

Artist Statement: The gradient blues and greens remind me of the ocean at Siesta Key, Florida where our family spent many tranquil summers. I quilted both the batik top quilt and the bottom white quilt and then tacked the batik quilt onto the white quilt.
