Width: 9" Length: 11 3/4"
Materials/Techniques: 100% cotton fabric and thread, 80/20 batting, machine sewn.
Artist Statement: In 1999, I had the idea to cut cotton fabric scraps into 3/4" strips, to sew these strips together, then cross cut the strip sets, and sew those pieced strips together. The center of this itty bitty quilt is made of remnants of that project. I set it on point and added borders.
Dedication: This itty bitty quilt and the others I plan to make are in memory of my dear mother, Dorothy, who had Alzheimer's for the last 3 years of her life - but when did it really start? Mom was called "Dot" by family and friends, so this first quilt is titled "Remembering Dot" and the other itty bitty quilts to follow will have dotted fabrics.
This quilt has Fast Finish Triangles.
