Materials/Techniques: I used a printed yo-yo design fabric to make my quilt. I fussy cut to the required size then added a 3/4 inch border. I then hand tied red and white yo-yo's and topped with a button over each yo-yo in the fabric. The yo-yos were made with the 1 3/4 in. Clover Yo-Yo Maker. Making the yo-yo's took longer than making the quilt.
Artist Statement: My experience with Alzheimer's Disease was like a yo-yo, ups and downs and no good answers. My father, in the early eighties, led me into the Alzheimer’s Association. With the help of a friend we established a chapter here in Colby. We did support groups, programs and TV interviews in our efforts to spread the word and help others deal with the ups and downs of the disease. We need to button up the yo-yo’s and find a cure for this disease. Thank you for the opportunity to share in this initiative.

Dedication: I dedicate this quilt to Aunt Agnes who is yo-yoing in Arizona. I wish I could be there to help.
This quilt has Fast Finish Triangles.
