Materials/Techniques: Hand painted butterfly on cotton fabric. Batik fabrics used for borders and binding. Cotton batting.

Artist Statement: I made this quilt in memory of my mother, who loved butterflies.

Dedication: Dedicated to my mother, Elma Niemi, who suffered from Alzheimer's disease in the last years of her life. She died May 18, 2009.

This quilt has a Traditional Sleeve.
