6380 - Wall Flowers

Materials/Techniques: Cotton fabric synthetic batting, cotton threads, cotton quilting thread, commercial flower braid of synthetic composition.

Artist Statement: I had these cardboard tags removed from shopping bags sold at work. I thought that they needed some other use rather than just becoming trash so... they became templates for bricks, the bricks became a wall, the wall whilst functional was rather bland, so I hunted for some flowers, I misplaced them, I hunted some more and found better flowers, these flowers, grew, developed and here we are, one step nearer to finding a solution. My endevours won't solve everything, but at least they help!
