Materials/Techniques: Batiks, tie-dyed velvet, fused machine applique. Machine quilted.

Artist Statement: We would often hear our dog outside howling and barking as if in terrible pain. We would rush out and find that the source of his torment was "that cat again." The cat would be sitting safely on the other side of our fence and I had to laugh at the smug expression I believed I could see on his face.
