Materials/Techniques: Leaf design using machine appliquéd cotton batik fabrics heavily quilted with variegated rayon thread, couched yarn for the branches, and a cotton binding.

Artist's Statement: One of a series of autumn images for a journal quilt project I participated in a few years ago reflecting some of the things I love the most about autumn: colorful leaves over swirling waters. This is a playful, experimental quilt using lots of color and thread movement.
