Artist's Statement: This quilt is meant to provide a cheerful floral shape on which to focus in the midst of a desert, which is portrayed using a variable log cabin motif and numerous African-themed fabrics.
Dedication: This piece is dedicated to my mother, who suffered from dementia for 13+ years. She was a sweet and lovely woman who especially enjoyed the flowers in her garden.
This quilt earned $45 for the AAQI.
