Materials/Techniques: Commercial and hand dyed fabrics, Texture Magic by Superior Threads, raw edge fusible appliqué, button embellishments, machine quilted and a zigzag edge finish.
Artist's Statement: The evening my father-in-law passed away I knew I was going to make a quilt to honor him. I saw the finished quilt in my mind’s eye before I even began; it combines symbolism with reality and I made it the way I saw it. This is my 10th quilt for the AAQI and I plan to continue making them in his honor.

This quilt is displayed with a picture frame hook.
