Materials/Techniques: Six circles that have been pieced (cracked) and appliqued to a darker background. A purchased sequin/beaded butterfly is glued to a circle. 100% cotton.
Artist's Statement: The stacked circles that have been pieced represent the 'cracks' that develop in the brain due to Alzheimer's. The butterfly signifies hope through research.
Dedication: To my granddaughter, Allison, who assists me in choosing colors and naming my quilts.
