Materials/Techniques: Silk, Batik fabrics, cotton, weaving, beads, appliqué, 1890’s Tokio Cigarette Premium Silk, hand quilting.
Artist's Statement: The little butterfly silk inspired the quilt. Butterflies are such a joy to watch, they offer peace as they flit from place to place. I was inspired to pass some of the joy and peace of a butterfly to everyone dealing with the daily grind of Alzheimer’s.
