Materials/Techniques: Garage sale embroidered piece colored with caran d’ache crayons. The embroidery was quite enough, I thought, so I just quilted the background with a pale blue thread. Satin stitched edges.
Artist's Statement: Of the Three R’s (Recycle, Reuse and Renew) I would say this one best fits “Renew”. Somebody else’s discard made into something completely different!
Dedication: As always, to my Dad, who motivates all my work for the AAQI.
