Materials/Techniques: Garage sale embroidered piece colored with caran d’ache crayons, quilted with silver metallic thread and backed with yellow felt. I added 2 each butterfly and bee charms and one turtle bead to the peaceful pond scene..
Artist's Statement: Of the Three R’s (Recycle, Reuse and Renew) I would say this one best fits “Renew”. Somebody else’s discard made into something completely different.
Dedication: As always, to my Dad, who motivates all my work for the AAQI.
