Materials/Techniques: Muslin base with metallic paints, strings, metallic threads, feathers, tulle, Mod Podge, commercial cottons, Superior Threads, free-motion quilted.
Artist's Statement: During a "rainy day play day", I had all sorts of artsy, embellishment types of supplies out to play with, along with some muslin. This piece is one of the resulting projects; using the Mod Podge on top is what made me decide to turn it into an art quilt (I liked the glossy finish). Since it needed batting and a backing, I added a piece of metallic looking tulle to the top and free-motion quilted the layers together.

This quilt is displayed with a picture frame hook.
This quilt earned $60 for the AAQI.
