Judy's wall quilt of this pattern is 57 3/4" square. By reducing the patches to 1/4" the quilt, without the large plain block border she used, became a 9" square. The binding increased the size slightly but the design of the pattern was complete at that size. Cotton fabrics with various cream colored background patches. There are 970 pieces in this quilt . . .I think. It is quilted in the ditch with clear thread.Artist's Statement:
Working from Judy Martin's patterns is easy, and her instructions are displayed so that I was able to use the drawings as templates. The small pieces did make this quilt more difficult, since it was so easy to make a seam a thread too wide which always shows at this size.
