Tuttle, OK USAWidth:
Courthouse Steps block with many color-coded 1/4" steps. Fifty two fabrics plus the border print.Artist's Statement:
This quilt is meant to remind everyone to be careful and take action, if they have not already, to ensure that they and their loved ones won't fall in the hole of despair if they have not given a trusted person legally binding advanced permission to take care of their affairs and health issues if they should ever become unable to do so. Getting permission after the need has arisen to act for an incapacitated person can be a lengthy and costly task, and there is no guarantee that the wishes of the patient are followed if they are not known by the court appointed person. A little foresight may not be a fun thing to think about, but once taken care of properly can be reassuring to everyone concerned.
Audrey Arno Dedication:
To not only the older people, but also to the younger ones. We are never sure what may happen in our lives.
