Materials/Techniques: This piece began with two pieces of white silk. Silk habatoi was dyed for the background; silk dupoini was first tea-dyed and then hand-painted. More paint was added as each trunk was attached. The entire quilt was then densely quilted.
Artist's Statement: I am fascinated by the changing colors each fall. My aspen series has expressed my love of the colors.

Dedication: My mother died from Alzheimer's Disease. This quilt is dedicated to those who are researching ways to stop this menace.
