Materials/Techniques: The background is a green/blue gold embossed cotton lame'. The border and binding are blue cotton lame'. The bright gold lame' center is embellished with 1/4" blue bias that matches the binding. Gold 1/4" lame' outlines the center design. A purchased sequin/bead flower completes the design.
Artist's Statement: As I made this quilt I focused on the fabrics and colors more than on the over-all design. So, is it a flower in a vase - a flower with stems showing - or just some interesting colors and textures?
Dedication: To my granddaughter Katherine, who encourages me to 'think outside the box'.
