Designer: This pattern was adapted from a design in a magazine. This is the credit line as obtained from the Editorial Manager, Gloriann Doyle. Original Design from Alice Oken, Courtesy of Cross-Stitch & Needlework Magazine (September 2010) and DMCR (DMC was our partner in this project). Used with written permission.
Materials/Techniques: The background, border, and binding are cotton lame'. The swirls, sewn from 1/4" bias lame' tape, end with a shiny shell button.
Artist's Statement: These swirls remind me of conversations with Alzheimer's patients, going in circle and over and over. May the caregivers find beauty even amidst the swirls of daily life with a Alzheimer's patient.
