Sue Nickels, The Quilt Show Projects Section.Materials/Techniques:
Cotton fabric, cotton batting and backing; machine applique, some hand embellishment, machine quilted.Artist's Statement:
I'm not really an artistic quilter (more of a maker of quilts to be cuddled) but wanted to add a little of my time and effort to this cause. As a volunteer at AAQI I've seen the heart and soul that Ami pours into her work. Her friend and fellow quilter Sue Nickels designed this little quilt.
Mary A. Lecea Dedication:
To those who put their time and effort into discovering what causes Alzheimer’s disease and to finding a cure. It's for those who ache for their loved ones as they go "deeper and deeper" into the abyss, never to return. It's for those who get busy with fabric and threads, needles and paints and ribbons and beads, as well as their time and effort and creativity, to make a precious miniature quilt to raise money to support bringing an end to Alzheimer’s.
This quilt is displayed with Fast Finish Triangles
This quilt earned $60.00 for the AAQI.
