Artist's Statement: A dark ride is a generic term used to describe any type of [carnival] ride that is in a dark enclosed environment, for example a tunnel of love or a house of horror. Alzheimer’s happens unseen in the recesses of the mind. Carefully choosing fabrics to emphasize swirling confusion, I kept the overall design simple so the message is not lost.
