Materials/Techniques: Bleach discharged canvas, machine FELTED silk flowers, fleece, organza and serger floss; machine quilted with 12 weight cotton and rayon threads, Tulle overlay with cotton backing.
Artist's Statement: Like a flower fades, so do memories... reach for what beauty is left.

Dedication: Life is full of challenges. I created this little piece within the month after having shoulder surgery. It was more of a struggle and took longer than it could have, but I send my extra effort with love. May all the caregivers and family of Alzheimer's patients find some additional strength to also face their challenges.

This quilt earned $60 for the AAQI.
