Artist's Statement: An independent creature - a sand dollar- lives in the world unknown to most...finally a fragile shell is what remains.

Dedication: Made in loving memory of my dad, Bernie Marsel, who died in 1998. Of course we lost him 5 years before when Alzheimer's took him.

This quilt is displayed with a traditional sleeve.
