Daphne Stewart
Sunnyside, WA USAWidth: 8.625"
Length: 11.5"
Designer: Sindy Rodenmayer at, www.fatcatpatterns.com.
Materials/Techniques: Cottons and blends; machine appliqué; foundation piecing; channel quilting.
Artist's Statement: If this were a perfect world, I would make quilts using only my own designs; it's an ego thing. But luckily the world is not perfect, so I can enjoy the process of creating a small quilt with designs that were not my own invention. These quilts then have a purpose in raising funds for Alzheimer's research.
Daphne Stewart Dedication: To Kraig and Tina Gilkey. They were well established in Alaska in a nice home with four almost grown children. Kraig had a successful career in meteorology but he wanted to go back to school to become a Lutheran minister. A few years later, he and Tina are joyfully serving both Calvary in Sunnyside and Messiah in Prosser (Washington).
This quilt is displayed with

This quilt earned $65.00 for the AAQI.
