Tuttle, OK USAWidth:
Limited number of fabrics pieced into a five pointed star.Artist's Statement:
This is the first pentagon block I have drafted and sewn. After it was done, I noted that it was similar to an old block I remembered, but that was a hexagon. Anyway, it is a start and I will try others later since I enjoyed working with it. The name of the quilt comes from the thought I had during the sewing, that it looked like coffee or chocolate with whipped cream on it. Mit Schlag is German, and widely used in Austria where many foods and beverages are topped "with whipped cream" and eaten "mit schlag.
Audrey Arno Dedication:
To those who simply adore whipped cream on anything.
