Artist's Statement: My 42 year old daughter, Kate, was diagnosed with breast cancer in March. Since then we parents have accompanied her every two weeks for her chemotherapy treatment. We met another young lady, aged 37, who was diagnosed with breast cancer a few weeks before Kate. During the next chemo sessions we got to know her quite well. The girls shared another fact, each had a grandparent with Alzheimer's: Kate's grandmother, Maxine Shaver, and Brandy's grandfather, James Caddell. Cures are desperately needed for both Breast Cancer and Alzheimer’s.
