Materials/Techniques: Machine pieced, machine quilted.
Artist's Statement: As I watched my sister’s Alzheimer’s disease progress, I saw her world shrink and her memories fade. Her life seemed to disintegrate right before my eyes.
This quilt was made in a similar fashion; it was pieced into a whole, quilted, cut exposing raw edges, then woven into a black sheer fabric, obscuring segments representing her life. The tapering at the bottom signifies her shrinking world.
