Materials/Techniques: I used fusible applique to apply the dolphin/whales tale, and then machine quilted around. 100% cotton is used on the front, and the back is a batik .
Artist's Statement: I was experimenting with fusible applique and made a dolphin's tail. Then I played around with it by machine quilting and tried to see how small I could make a quilt.
Dedication: In honor of my husband’s grandmother, Doris.
