My sister and I cared for our mother through her Alzheimer’s battle. Her sister and their mother, our grandmother also were afflicted with this horrible end of life crisis. I worried that I would continue the family “tradition”. Life has a way of taking unexpected turns. So far, I am Alzheimer’s free but my husband of 46 years is in the early stages of dementia, possibly Alzheimer’s. The good news is that I will be able to care for him but if I develop Alzheimer’s, I worry about who will care for the two of us….We have two sons who will do what they can but I worry…have we passed this affliction on to them as well? Where will this all end?
Ann Louise Mullard-Pugh Dedication:
For the afflicted and those who care for them.
