Materials/Techniques: Hand painted original design using water soluble pastels and free motion thread sketching using rayon threads on cotton fabric.

Artist's Statement: I would like to think that people who have Alzheimer’s are existing in an alternate world, so to speak. Perhaps in their minds they are in a wonderful peaceful garden enjoying the beauty of nature.

Dedication: To all the quilters who have spent countless hours making quilts to raise money for Alzheimer’s research; to all the caregivers who sacrifice their time taking care of Alzheimer’s patients; and to those who are suffering from this disease. May they all enjoy some special time in a beautiful place like my garden picture.
