Materials/Techniques: Chicken block applique was cut from a panel of chickens; Lettering, cut from fabric, is appliqued with a darker thread. Background quilting with Sliver thread, other stitching with rayon threads.
Artist's Statement: Just as the rooster cock-a-doodle-doos to 'wake up the sun', may the Research of scientists 'wake up' the memory of Alzheimer's victims.
