Artist's Statement: A vintage oriental lantern hand pieced block seemed perfect to go with the Asian children from a toile fabric I found in my sewing room. The children and their flying bird friend were embellished with a little fabric paint. This little quilt seems so innocent and reflects memories of happy times.
