Materials/Techniques: Cotton marbled fabrics, pieced and minimally quilted.
Artist's Statement: I like the look of quilts made with two blocks placed against each other and was leafing through a book of blocks looking for some that might combine well, when I saw the Interlocked Squares block which I thought would make a good frame around a block. I worked up a star to fit inside. Since it could have been a feathered star if there were the triangles around the points, tethered seemed a close sound and also meant confined or restricted so I call it Tethered Star.
