Artist's Statement: My mother was an avid gardener and her most successful indoor flowers were Gloxinias. I don't see gloxinias very often any more, but when I do, they always remind me of her. The velvety texture of the flowers and leaves seemed to be a perfect match for printing one of my photos on velvet.
