One of the more common experiences of dementia is
hallucinations. The individual sees and hears things that are not there. However, the hallucination is very real to the individual experiencing them and this and can illicit real fear. In my Mom's case she was convinced that a bad creature stayed in the basement We allowed her the creature but moved her on to another topic and the creature usually disappeared. This quilt is about her bad creature.
